Heart of a servant

Ku tak membawa
Apapun juga
Saatku datang ke dunia

Ku tinggal semua
Pada akhirnya
Saatky kembali ke syurga

Inilah yang kupunya
Hati sebagai hamba
Yang mau taat dan setia
Padamu bapa

Kemanaku pun bawa
Hati yang menyembah
Dalam roh dan kebenaran
Sampai selamanya

Bagaimana ku membalas kasihmu
Semua yang ku punya
Itu milikmu
Itu milikmu...

- "Hati sebagai Hamba"

Speak lord, thy servant heareth.
Even if he doesn't like what he hears sometimes. (Ok, so its many times. Sue me.)

P.S. A song I learned in Indonesia, this is one of the few songs that is highly meaningful to me. Besides bringing fond memories of my time in Indonesia, it also constantly reminds me of what and how I should be like in my relationship with God.

God will always make a way

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me

He will be my guide
Draw me closely to his side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness He'll guide me
Rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade
But his word will still remain
He will do something new today

- " God will make a way"

God, please help me to remember that you will always make a way.
That you have a plan for me and that you have my best interests at heart.
Its just that I know your ways are not always in accordance to my ways.
So please help me to remember and accept that too.
Thank you.

Baby can I hold you

I'm sorry
Is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like I'm sorry
I'm sorry...

Forgive me
Is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like forgive me
Forgive me...

But you can say baby
Baby, can I hold you tonight
Baby if I told you the right words
At the right time

I love you
Is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like I love you
I love you...

But you can say baby
Baby, can I hold you tonight
Baby if I told you the right words
At the right time
You'll be mine

Baby can I hold you tonight...

- "Baby can I hold you" Boyzone

I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
I still love you.
Sigh.

P.S. An interesting thing I noticed was that the original song by Tracy Chapman used "can't" instead of "can" in the 2nd line of each stanza. Is it because Boyzone changed the lyrics to express something else entirely, or merely Ronan Keating's accent smothering that word in the song? Oh well, another of life's great mysteries. :p

I wanna go home

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
'Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day
Has come and gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

- Michael Buble, "Home"

It is said that home is where the heart is.
And I want to go home.
Oh please let me go home.
But I don't even know where home is anymore.
